Sandy Womack Jr., M.Ed.

 

has been an educator for more than twenty years.  Mr. Womack currently serves as the principal for Hartford Middle School.  He has lead Hartford Middle School from Academic Emergency (F) to Effective (B) in a three year period. Mr. Womack has published several articles promoting African American culture and addressing issues related to poverty and community activism. In additon, he authored his autobiographical book Even the Best of Plans Go Astray

Lathardus Goggins II, Ed.D.

has been an advocate for youth and education for more than twenty years, and is the author of Bringing the Light Into a New Day, 365 Black: Nuggets of Wisdom for Each Day of the Year, and African Centered Rites of Passage and Education. Dr. Goggins' professional experiences and leadership have focused on supporting students to access and graduate from college.
